Last updated: 7 August 2026
1. Who creates and administers the products
Digital products offered through www.bowmanjack.com under the Jack Bowman name, JB Bassworks or another stated product or collection name are created and licensed by Jack Bowman unless the relevant product page states otherwise.
Payments for these products are received on behalf of Jack Bowman by BAY CUSTOM STUDIOS LIMITED through its Payhip account and connected Stripe and PayPal payment destinations. BAY CUSTOM STUDIOS LIMITED acts as the payment recipient. Jack Bowman remains responsible for the products, the product-specific licence, delivery support and customer enquiries.
Jack Bowman is a director of BAY CUSTOM STUDIOS LIMITED, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 16058699.

Checkout and file delivery are provided through Payhip. Payment is processed through the connected Stripe or PayPal account, depending on the method selected at checkout. Payhip and the selected payment provider also apply their own terms and privacy policies.
This Digital Product Policy and Licence supplements those platform terms and sets out the product creator’s compatibility information, licence permissions, support and refund approach.
2. Scope
This policy applies to digital downloads sold through www.bowmanjack.com or its connected Payhip checkout unless a product page or product-specific licence expressly states otherwise.
Digital products are supplied electronically. No physical item will be shipped.
Where a product-specific licence conflicts with this general policy, the product-specific licence applies to that product to the extent of the stated difference. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
3. Product information
The relevant product page forms part of the purchase information. Please review the description, included files, quantity or preset count, supported software, required third-party products, excluded software, compatibility information, delivery format and any product-specific restrictions before buying.
Audio and video demonstrations illustrate the intended character of a product. The precise result may vary with the instrument, plug-in version, playing, effects, processing, arrangement and wider production.
4. Prices, taxes and payment
The price and any applicable tax or other charge will be displayed before the order is completed.
Payment is taken through Payhip using Stripe or PayPal. The customer’s checkout, receipt or payment record may therefore display BAY Custom Studios or BAY CUSTOM STUDIOS LIMITED as the payment recipient.
An order is accepted when payment has been successfully completed and Payhip makes the digital product available, subject to any fraud, duplicate-payment or technical review that may reasonably be required.
5. Compatibility and third-party software
Each preset pack is designed for the specific third-party instrument and version stated on its product page. Preset formats are not interchangeable between different instruments or unsupported versions.
The required third-party plug-in, host software, operating system, hardware and licences are not included unless the product description expressly says otherwise.
You are responsible for checking the published compatibility requirements before purchase. If you are unsure, contact contact@bowmanjack.com before buying.
Third-party developers may change their software, preset formats, licensing or system requirements. Those changes are outside our control. Compatibility statements describe the supported setup identified on the product page at the time of purchase.
This section does not limit any mandatory rights that apply if the supplied product itself is faulty, incorrectly delivered or not as described.
6. Delivery
After successful payment, Payhip normally provides access through its post-purchase download page and an email containing the purchase or download link.
You are responsible for providing an accurate email address, checking any junk or spam folder and downloading a local backup of the purchased files.
If the product is not delivered or the download link does not work, contact contact@bowmanjack.com with the order email address and transaction details.
7. General licence position
Digital product files and their intellectual property are licensed, not sold. Purchasing a product gives you only the rights expressly stated in this policy and any product-specific licence supplied with it.
Unless a product-specific licence states otherwise, a licence is granted to one individual purchaser. A business, studio or organisation may nominate one individual user per purchased licence.
Products other than preset products may carry different permissions. Where they do, those permissions will be stated on the product page or in the files supplied.
8. Licence granted for preset products
When you purchase a preset product, Jack Bowman grants you a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-sublicensable licence to use the included presets, subject to this policy.
For clarity, Jack Bowman, as the rights holder, directly grants the commercial-use permissions described in section 9. These are additional product-specific permissions for finished productions and remain subject to the prohibited uses in section 10.
Subject to your continued compliance with this policy, the preset licence has no fixed expiry date.
9. Permitted use of preset products
The licensed user may:
• install and use the presets on computers owned or controlled by that user;
• modify the presets for that user’s own work;
• use the presets in personal and commercial music productions;
• use the presets in live performances;
• render or record the sounds into original compositions, recordings, client work, film, television, games, podcasts, online content and other audiovisual productions;
• release, broadcast, perform, monetise and commercially exploit those finished productions; and
• provide rendered audio stems or finished audio containing the sounds to collaborators or clients as part of a genuine production.
No additional royalty is payable to the preset creator for an otherwise permitted finished production.
10. Prohibited use of preset products
You must not:
• share, copy, transfer or distribute the preset files to another person;
• install the preset files for use by several people under one licence;
• sell, resell, sublicense, rent, lend or give away the preset files;
• upload the preset files to a file-sharing service, forum, group, cloud library or other public or shared location;
• include the preset files in another preset pack, template, sound library, sample pack, software product or downloadable project;
• distribute deliberately isolated renders of the presets as reusable samples, one-shots or a competing sound library;
• claim ownership or authorship of the preset files;
• remove or misrepresent copyright, licence or attribution information included with the download; or
• use the files unlawfully or in a way that infringes another person’s rights.
If a studio, company, educational establishment or team needs access for more than one user, contact contact@bowmanjack.com to discuss an appropriate multi-user licence.
11. Bundles
A bundle purchase grants the same licence to each included product. It does not create additional user licences and does not permit the included products to be separated and transferred to different people.
12. Cancellation and change of mind
Digital products are normally made available immediately after purchase.
Where applicable law provides a 14-day cancellation or withdrawal period for digital content, you will be asked to expressly request and consent to immediate supply before that period ends and to acknowledge that you will lose the cancellation right once the download begins.
If you wish to request cancellation before downloading or accessing the files, contact contact@bowmanjack.com immediately with the order details.
Once the download has begun following the required consent and acknowledgement, change-of-mind refunds are not normally available.
This includes requests based only on:
• changing your mind;
• deciding that you no longer want the product;
• purchasing the wrong edition after the compatibility information was accurately displayed;
• not owning the required third-party software when that requirement was accurately displayed; or
• preferring a different style or sound after receiving the product described.
Nothing in this section removes any mandatory right or remedy that applies where digital content is faulty, inaccessible, not as described or otherwise fails to conform to the contract.
13. Faulty, incorrect or inaccessible products
Contact contact@bowmanjack.com if:
• the supplied file is corrupt;
• the download cannot be accessed;
• the wrong product was delivered;
• the product materially differs from its description; or
• a verified fault in the supplied product prevents it from working in the expressly supported setup.
Please include the order email address, product name, supported plug-in version, operating system and enough information to reproduce the issue.
We will investigate and, as appropriate, provide access again, replace or correct the relevant file, give reasonable installation support, or provide another remedy required by applicable law. If a qualifying problem cannot be resolved within a reasonable period, a refund or price reduction may be provided where required.
Duplicate charges and demonstrably unauthorised transactions will be reviewed in accordance with the payment provider’s procedures and applicable law.
14. Support
Reasonable support is available for delivery, installation guidance and verified issues with the supplied files.
Support does not include:
• supplying the required third-party plug-in or licence;
• general support for the third-party instrument, DAW, computer or operating system;
• adapting the presets to unsupported software;
• production, mixing or sound-design tuition; or
• customising the presets for an individual project, unless agreed separately.

15. Updates
Corrections or replacement files may be supplied when appropriate. A purchase does not automatically include every future edition, expansion, major revision or product released under a similar name.
If an update is required by applicable consumer law to keep the purchased digital content in conformity, that obligation is unaffected by this policy.
16. Intellectual property and trade marks
All intellectual property rights in the original digital product files, documentation, product names, artwork and supporting materials remain with their respective owners.
Third-party company names, product names and trade marks are the property of their respective owners and are used solely to identify compatibility.
Jack Bowman, JB Bassworks and any other Jack Bowman product or collection name are independent from the third-party software and hardware manufacturers identified on the product pages and are not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by them.
17. Payhip and payment providers
Payhip operates the hosted checkout and delivery platform and applies its own terms and End User Licence:
https://payhip.com/terms/end-user
The Payhip account and connected Stripe and PayPal payment destinations are linked to BAY CUSTOM STUDIOS LIMITED, which receives payment on behalf of Jack Bowman. Payment is processed by Stripe or PayPal, depending on the method selected at checkout.
The relevant platforms and payment providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
18. Governing law
This policy and licence are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, nothing in this section deprives you of any mandatory protection or right to bring proceedings that you have under the law applicable where you live.
19. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy for future purchases when the products, platforms or legal requirements change. The version that applied when you purchased will continue to govern that purchase unless a change is required by law or is expressly agreed with you.
